Vultures

No, these are not sculptures on the top of one of Rome's buildings. They are ugly turkey vultures awaiting their dinner perched on the top of a boat house. They may be ugly but they are our natural garbage disposers. My husband asked "why is it that the vultures are so ugly?" Not only are they ugly but they are creepy and ironically we need them.

My daughter emailed this photo of our Grandson Jake with his cousins (on his Dad's side) in Chciago from Easter Sunday. She said they had a great time.

I have some pictures of our little Easter get together on this page and the next. Not everyone could come and we missed those of you who could not attend. We had a surprise visit from Taryn and Chris and their family. They were headed back to Colorado and it was so great to visit with them. We had a delicious dinner and the kids played ball and some went fishing. They caught several fish and through them back in the water. Taryn and Chris's son Luke found a new passion for fishing. This was his first time. It was a cloudy, breezy day and last night we had some bad storms. We woke up around 3:00 AM to the sounds of wind, hale with heavy rain.

Several images on this page and the next page are of the Antique Tractor Show which was held in Canton TX. We spent a couple of days there this past weekend. Belinda, a co-worker of Bob's was there with her parents exhibiting their tractors. Her Dad is from Georgia. He travels with the tractor club to exhibit his tractors. This was great for Belinda as she was able to visit with her parents and also her brother's family from Houston. I know very little about farm machinery but if anyone visiting my site wants to add some info in my comment section please feel free to do so.

Happy birthday to our beautiful daughter Jane. The photo below was taken in Portugal. Last summer Jane asked Bob and I to go with her on a business trip for the company she works for. Jane's husband and son could not attend. Portugal was one of the most memorable and beautiful places we have ever been. We got to spend some quality time with Jane which was even more special because she lives so far from us and we don't get to see her often. So Jane, have a wonderful day. We love you and will see you soon.

Our son John (the best man) is beside our grandson Jack (the better man). They both stood up for Uncle Tim (Casey's brother) and Aunt Christine at their wedding in New york a couple of weeks ago.
