There was a hot air balloon coming up the lake this morning. I thought I would take a few pictures when it started lowering and coming toward my house. Oh no! I'm still in my skimpy gown. Remembering how my sister-in-law Angela landed on a street in a sub-division with people standing around and one lady in her robe with a towel wrapped around her head I headed upstairs to put some clothes on. What if it landed in the water, or in front of my house or even on my house! After quickly dressing I went back down stairs to see the balloon barely above the trees over my house and lowering rapidly. Then I went to the entrance of my house and didn't see it anymore. There is an open field not far from me and I hope that is where they landed. After triple digit temperatures for the past sixty some days with not doing much because it is just too hot, I will have to say that is the most excitement I have had for a while.

School starts the week after this but the Volley Ball teams have already begun their scrimmages and just had their first tournament for this season in the Metro-plex area. Peyton is on the Junior Varsity team for her school. Bob and I attended a few of the games of the tournament yesterday. The girls did well and the games were exciting. Peyton was exhausted when it was over.

Here are a few photos from last Sunday's brunch celebrating Joy's birthday. If you notice Austin is not in the pictures it is because he was at camp. We missed him but he said he had a wonderful time. We had lunch at the Pour House in Ft. Worth on 7th street. It was a great place to go for brunch. The food was delicious, and the service was good.
If you have time please click on my art blog and check out some necklaces posted that I made this past week. I had a lot of fun working with some colored plastic coated soft wire. Thank you.
