Sunday is Joy's birthday. The pictures below were taken today at the Rahr Brewery. Rob and Joy's friends Brian and Catelin were also there. On Saturdays from 1:PM to 3:PM Rahr Brewery have tastings and tours. It is very enjoyable. It is very popular to go and hang out, taste beer and visit with friends. They have entertainment and you get to take home the very cool glass.

We wish Joy a Happy Birthday! She is a wonderful daughter, mother, & wife. We love her very much.

Happy Birthday Joy!

Here is another picture from Doug, Angela and Dianna's visit during the 4th. I snatched this photo from Angela of her and Bob on the boat. I really like it. You can see a really strong resemblance in the two of them especially in this picture.

My sister-in-law Angela took the two pictures below. A dead fish floated where everyone was playing water volley ball. There was nothing left of it but skin and bones. It was huge. I may have seen it when it was it was alive. In the spring I was sitting on the porch and saw a fish jump straight up and wiggling it's body. I couldn't believe how long it was. They usually jump out of the water in an angle but not this one.

During the week of July 4th we were visited by Bob's sister Angela, her husband Doug and their daughter Dianna. They are from Grand Forks ND. Afterward Dianna flew to Abilene and took the test required to get into medical school. While they were here we visited Scat Lounge in Fort Worth to listen to some jazz, took a boat ride as well as did some other touring and just relaxed. On the third we celebrated Brittany's 21st birthday. The kids were here along with some of their friends. We set up a volleyball net in the lake and many of the kids and grand kids were very occupied playing the game. I think it was a hit. I am sorry I did not get pictures of that. Some of the kids and adults also did some arm wrestling. It turned out to be a rowdy day but it was under control and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun.

Thanks Angela, Doug and Dianna for the visit. We always enjoy your company and love you lots and lots.

My daughter Jane has been in Thailand on business and she emailed this photo of the elephant ride. She said her Cubs hat fell off and the elephant picked it up and gave it back to her. Jane said she could swear the elephant said he preferred the Sox.

At the Great Plains Museum in Lawton OK. there is a fort which has a general store. This gentleman was giving demonstrations of how to start a fire without matches or a lighter. I loved how he dressed the part and how friendly he and the other gentleman working there was. I continued touring the rest of the museum when I noticed I left Bob behind. He had been there for a very long time talking with those men. Bob said before he left they were encouraging him to become involved in a re-enactment program. Who knows. Maybe Bob will do something like that after he retires.

Just a few scenic miles outside Lawton Ok. is a store and restaurant called Meers. It is known for it's hamburgers and I read that they were rated 3rd in the US. I agree. They were delicious. My favorite thing was the homemade Ice Cream. It was outstanding. If you ever go there be prepared to wait. The lines were long but worth it.
