We took a boat ride today and saw this man peddling his way in the form of a bicycle on pontoons. This is the first time I have seen one like this. He looked like he was really enjoying himself and getting his exercise at the same time.

A Reason To Be Good Friends With Your Neighbors

We were driving away from the Ponce de Leon Light House in Florida when Bob said "Barb, you must turn around and go back." We were in an area by the inter coastal river where the homes were beautiful and very nicely manicured. In the midst of all of the homes in this particular sub-division was this. (photos below) We couldn't believe it. Why? If you notice, the house that backs up to this house if beautiful, and perfectly kept up. Is this supposed to be revenge, or some one's warped sense of art?

We were talking about it to some people in a restaurant and showing pictures near there. A waitress said she saw something on TV where the neighbors took it to court and the home owner won.???? I don't understand. How could the homeowner win? It's just bizarre.

Really? Trying To Make a Point?

Today is our Grandson's birthday. He is coming to visit next week and this will be the first time he has ever been here near the time of his birthday. We are going to have a big party and everyone here is very excited to celebrate.

Happy Birthday Jake! 9 years old!

After we left the wedding we drove from St. Petersburg to our Time Share in Ormond Beach for the remainder of the week. It was on the ocean with wonderful and calming views of the waves. Our only disappointment was a sudden attack of Love Bugs on both balconies which stayed for a couple of days.
The photo below is the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse which is located about 10 miles south of Daytona Beach.

I thought it was interesting how they wash a boat. It was a down the street from the lighthouse.

My nephew Scott and his wife Megan said their vows in St. Petersburg Florida this past week end. Here are a few images of the ceremony and of the reception. Not knowing everyone please feel free to comment on the names of the people I left out. This being our first beach wedding we really enjoyed it and were very happy to be able to attend. You will need to keep clicking older posts to see all of the photos. I also have a couple of pictures of my sister Bev's new Grandson.

Jackson Oliver

He weighed 6lbs and 1 oz when born and was 19 inches long.Posted by Picasa
On our way to Florida for a wedding and vacation we stopped at my sister Beverley's house near Ft. Walton Beach for a couple of nights. Her Grandson Jackson was born a couple of days before then. Her son Josh is at Boot Camp in the Army and could not be there for the birth. The Red Cross contacted Josh's division and they allowed him to talk for 8 minutes. I understand he cried with tears of joy for 7 minutes and actually talked for one minute. It would be so difficult not to be able to be there. But we were there and it was so delightful to see our new born grand nephew.

The kids knew we would not be home for Mother's Day so the ones who could, gathered at Fogatas Restaurant near Haltom City the weekend before last. It has recently become one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants. The kids also went together and put a wonderful basket of goodies together for us to take with us to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Our kids are so thoughtful in that way. They make us feel very special. We are very fortunate and love them all so much.

I wish I could take the credit for these pictures but I didn't take them. Jack's other Grandfather (Casey's Dad) took them and I think he got some fantastic shots. Thank you John D.
