For the benefit of the family and friends of Tamara and Bill who are scattered from Australia, to Illinois to Minnesota, to Texas and other parts of the country I have put together a few pictures for your enjoyment.  I felt very privileged to to be a part of the the few hours spent at the hospital after the birth of Lincoln. Tamara is the daughter of our dear friends Gill and Dave who now live in Australia.  Tamara's Mom, Gill and her sister Phylene were able to make it here for the birth.  It was so exciting to see the reactions of the siblings, Liam and Sydney welcoming their new brother. You will have to click "older posts" at the end of the page to see all of the photos.

Lincoln was born on his Dad's birthday.  Bill said it was the best birthday he has ever had.

Tamara's sister Taryn was not at the hospital at the time I was but I didn't want to leave her out of this so I snatched this photo.

Liam was enamored with his new brother. Sydney was less enamored but definitely interested.
Phylene had never attended a live birth before and was so excited to be able to be here when her nephew was born.

This is my Grand-daughter Peyton with her date Jordan all dressed up and ready to go to the soccer banquet. It is so hard for me to believe that she is 16 already. Where does the time go?  As you can see she is very lovely and looks beautiful in her dress.  I particularly love her shoes. With your own children you kind of re-live the experiences.  When it is your grand-children tears come to your eyes in admiration.

This year a couple of our family members here planned to be with other family on Easter.  So we decided to have dinner on Palm Sunday.  The Easter Bunny knew that so he dropped by early.  Tamra's family, Taryn's family and Elyse's family also joined our family for Palm Sunday Dinner.

Shopping at Disney was a lot of fun.  Bob was modeling this kimono and said he really liked it.  I thought he was joking but he was serious.  I asked him where he would wear it and he said he would wear it around the house like a robe.  It was 100.00.  So, I was thinking I could get a pattern and some cool fabric and make him one for less money.  This could be a great birthday present.

Today is our oldest daughter's birthday. We only get to see her a couple of times a  year and wish we could be spending this day with her.  Jane, we all miss you and hope you have a wonderful birthday!

By the way, for those following this blog, you know that we live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.  Yesterday 15 tornadoes struck several suburbs and neighborhoods.  None of  our friends or family were affected that I know of and no one was killed.  Still there were hundreds of homes damaged. Three months later after this has been forgotten these people will still be dealing with repairs and construction of their homes.  Please keep these people in your prayers and we cannot express enough the blessing that lives were spared.

Happy Birthday to our Oldest Daughter Jane!

Let The Scooter Do the Walking

We all knew that being at Disney World would be a walking challenge for me. Mary Ann and Bill brought a scooter with them so I could enjoy myself and keep up with the group.  Awesome!  It made all the difference in the world. We have some breathe taking images of the flower and garden show which is going on right now.  We were so inspired and impressed by the flower pot arrangements and topiaries.  I am planning to use some of their concepts in flower pot arrangements at my home. I really needed this little boost of encouragement to get me started this spring.
It will take several posts to include the many photos.  This is the beginning.

I wonder if I could do this on Eagle Mountain Lake by our house!

Last week we took a vacation with Bob's sister and her family at Disney World..  Their daughter Joyce was there to perform at Disney World with her school orchestra.  She was with the Wheaten / Warrenville Orchestra Group.  The performance was outstanding which included Disney related songs.  We were so thankful to be able to spend time with their family and to be spectators at their her performance.

We have so many beautiful photos of Disney World which will follow in future posts.  They were featuring their flower and garden show.
