This is Brooke with her friend and date, Antonio.  They were getting ready to go to the choir banquet. You know you live in Texas when your grand-daughter wears a beautiful dress with her cowboy boots.  I love the look and also loved her wrist corsage.

Although, my other grand-daughter Peyton would probably never do that.  So, maybe it's not a Texas thing but a love for horses intertwined with fashion.

Jake is ten years old today.  The exciting part about his birthday is that we are going to get to celebrate with him this year.  We don't get to do that often.  Jake, have a great birthday.  We'll see you soon.

Happy Birthday Jake!

Austin had a pretty rough time this past school year.  If you remember he broke his femur while practicing for football at his school.  He is doing very well now but he has had to sit out football, basketball, baseball and various activities.  The one activity he is able to do is choir.  His concert was last night and "what a show!" Not only were they singing but they had some dance steps along with some hand and arm movements.  It was very entertaining.  I will also add that a portion of their choir consisting of girls took Grand Champion in a  competition consisting of over 200 junior high school choirs in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. They performed one of the songs in that compitition and it was perfect and beautiful.  I can see whey they took 1st place.

MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR COLONOSCOPY!

My heart melted when I saw this picture of my grand nephew campaigning for his Grandpa, my brother as he fights for his life.  Colon Cancer is the one cancer that can be caught by early detection.  The prep for the  procedure is a little unpleasant but what is the comparison to possible years added to your life.

Sometimes there is so much going on that there is not enough time to make posts on the blog and read other blogs that you follow.  That has been the case with me lately.  Here are a couple of pictures of Jack. It's baseball season again. Jack and his team have been doing very well.  It is fun to watch them develop their skills.

Jack has such a beautiful smile!
