A Reason To Be Good Friends With Your Neighbors

We were driving away from the Ponce de Leon Light House in Florida when Bob said "Barb, you must turn around and go back." We were in an area by the inter coastal river where the homes were beautiful and very nicely manicured. In the midst of all of the homes in this particular sub-division was this. (photos below) We couldn't believe it. Why? If you notice, the house that backs up to this house if beautiful, and perfectly kept up. Is this supposed to be revenge, or some one's warped sense of art?

We were talking about it to some people in a restaurant and showing pictures near there. A waitress said she saw something on TV where the neighbors took it to court and the home owner won.???? I don't understand. How could the homeowner win? It's just bizarre.

That is totally out of revenge...it has to be. I once saw on tv a lady who painted her house like the spots of a cow. She said she did it because her nieghbors complained about the previous color (I think). When you have good nieghbors you have to consider yourself lucky. That poor home owner that lives next to that "beach House" will never be able to sell their home. I could only imagine the stress! Great post. Blessings, Joanne

Well, yeah, but what are the neighbors like aside from this? Eccentric doesn't equal neighbors-from-hell. I lived two doors down from a place that had all sorts of weird crap in the yard. The guy who lived there was one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet. And since I lived on the same side of the street as his place, I hardly ever had to look at it. The best part was, friends looking for my house could use his as a landmark - "I'm two doors down from the crazy house".
