I looked out the window and saw well over a hundred ducks and a few geese.  They are just so cute!

Happy Birthday Peyton!

Everyone of my Grandchildren melt my heart.  You can put me in the category of those crazy Grandmothers who are constantly talking about and showing pictures of their Grandchildren. Peyton is seventeen today. We love you Peyton and hope you have a wonderful day.

No, I have never been to Gunung Leuser National Park in Sumatra Indonesia but our friends Gill and Dave recently visited there.  They said it was the trip of a life time EVER.  After skyping with them they shared many details of the trip and they spoke with such excitement that I think they convinced me to put in on my bucket list of places to go.  The orangutans average five feet tall and it is hard to imagine them swinging from branches so high up. They told us that one of the orangutans approached one of the guides and unzipped his backpack, took out the food and threw the back pack up in the trees.  That really amused me and the stories just kept coming. We laughed and laughed. What an adventurous vacation!

Try To See The Sunshine Through The Rain

This is a link to a music video for a song I wrote and sang.  The photos illustrate the song and at the end is a painting taken from a photo which was taken by my daughter-in-law of my son John.  It is a silhouette of John catching the sun. At the end of the song you will see the painting which was taken from the photo.  I thought it was a good representation of the song because he is searching for the sun through the rain and the rainbow represents God's promise that the rain will stop.

Brooke has been busy with choir along with taking care and training her horse.  I love this picture of Brooke.

Peyton Playing Soccer

Peyton (in the pony tail) plays soccer for her school team.  They are doing very good this year so far.  They won a tournament a couple of weeks ago.

Jack is dong good in basketball.  You can see quite an improvement in his skills compared to last year.

Austin has been playing basketball for his school team and doing very well.

Jake is now in basketball.  We miss being able to attend his games.

Jack was one of 27 in his school chosen to compete in the spelling B and he drew number 27 which decides your turn.   He made it to the 3rd round.  Good job Jack!
