When we first arrived in Dublin we had dinner at "An Evening of Food, Folklore, and Fairies" located at 20 Bridge Street, Dublin 8, Ireland.

Philip was our story teller while we had a wonderful dinner.  Some musicians also came in to perform.
Here are some suggested books recommended by Philip.

Carolyne White  'A history of Irish Fairies'

Patricia  Lysaght         ‘The Banshee’

Eddie lennihan    ' Meeting the other crowd'

Angela Bourke   ‘The burning of Bridget Cleary’

Eamon Kelly   Ireland master storyteller, the collected stories of Eamon Kelly.

Kevin Dannaher ‘In Ireland Long ago                                  ‘

Kevin Dannaher ‘Irish customs and beliefs’

Kevin Dannaher Irish Country people

Kevin Dannaher  Folktales from the Irish Countryside

Estyn Evans   ‘Irish Folkway’

Daithi O'Hogan from the UCD Dept of folklore has written many good books on Irish folklore.

Douglas Hyde ‘Beside the Fire’

We were so glad we started our trip with doing this because not only was it entertaining but it gave a foundation of the stories behind what we were about to see.  Thank you Philip.
