Some of our kids, John, Joy, and Angie have been traveling recently for thier work which makes it very difficult to get together as often as we would like. Yesterday we slipped in a few minutes and had lunch together. Brent brought a beebee gun and Bob took an old empty TV Box from the garage and set up a target. The kids including the grand-kids enjoyed target practicing. This always makes me probably a little unneccesarily nervous but they were very careful and enjoyed it alot. It was a little chilly but sunny and beautiful. Everyone was enjoying sitting on the steps and soaking in the sun. We also had a birthday cake for Angie even though her birthday was a month ago. It's crazy but we eventually get around to it all.
Often one of the kids will bring flowers. Yesterday Joy and Rob brought some purple roses. They are so beautiful and don't last long. But, if you take a picture they will last forever.

Your family has elevated celebrations to an art form! Never a dull moment! Love the lavender roses! How very thoughtful!

sounds like my husbands family. It seems we always celebrate late but we Always celebrate eventually like you said. Great post. Blessings, Joanne
